Sinfully sweet scones.
You will need:
2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cup butter
175 ml buttermilk
1 cup finely chopped toffee
½ finely chopped white chocolate
Preheat the oven to 220ºC. Sift all the dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
Rub the butter between your fingers until it has the appearance of coarse bread crumbs.
Add the buttermilk, toffee and white chocolate and stir well.
Knead the dough on the flour-covered surface for one minute.
Roll out the dough until about 1 cm thick. Press out circles with a cookie cutter.
Pack the cookies on a baking plate and bake in the oven for approximately 10-12 minutes. Serve with a clot of cream or eat as is.
