This is the greatest sauce for any meat dish. I use it with a variety of meats.
You will need:
6 finely chopped cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
2/3 cup water
¼ cup tomato sauce
2 tablespoons Worcester sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ cup finely chopped red onion
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup canned peach sauce
2 tablespoons finely chopped canned peaches
2 tablespoons whiskey of your choice
½ teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
Fry the onion and garlic in a saucepan on medium heat for five minutes.
Add the brown sugar and water. Stir the sauce regularly until all the brown sugar has dissolved.
Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
The sauce will reduce to half and have a syrupy appearance.
I pour this marinade sauce over hamburger, pizzas and my pork and beef dishes.
This sauce can also be kept in the freezer for up to three months.
